the belief that a diety interacts with human affairs and what 'became man' and/or "sacrificed his only begotten son" to - again what - become a human born to a virgin and then be executed to bring on forgiveness for an 'original sin' committed by first man and woman in a garden created by this interactive diety. So there you have it - and most of this country's cherished founders, Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Franklin the usual suspects - rejected the Christian faith. THUS the original posters comment that this country was founded by Christians is simply wrong. And thus despite many of the population being "Christian" we are not a Christian nation.
