but you can’t have a completely subjective system. You can’t have just humans just picking . That is why they structured it the way it is now. You have to have an objective way for the “lower tier“ teams to get in. Otherwise , they’ll pick a nine and three Auburn or Alabama team over a 12-0 Oregon State. There has to be a way for these teams to compete and have a realistic objective way to “make it”
