were not there to arrest any victims or witnesses to the alleged crimes. If it was his girlfriend, she may well have not wanted him to go to prison for the battery, and may not have wanted him to be deported. She may still be relying upon him for support.

If she was a victim of a human sex trafficker, who knows?
