Yes, I'm a little slow but I just realized that coaches, in the era of NIL & unlimited transfers, must recruit their entire roster every year. The days of needing just one or two puzzle pieces to make a run are over. Coaches may have a complete new puzzle to assemble, year after year.

So, while you're recruiting high school sophomores, juniors and certainly seniors, along with college transfer portal candidates, you have to recruit your existing roster to make sure they're all happy and going to stay.
