Yes correct some of the cost will be passed on but to remain profitable these multinational corporations will have to reduce profits to a degree and/or make massive cuts to their waste and bloat...

America is the Biggest consumer of products on the face of the Earth we have the Power and Leverage to cripple the World and throw them into Economic Disarray and bend them to our Will.

In doing so America will come out Economically heads and shoulders above the rest of the Crippled world. In doing so we can effectively siphon off large portions of their wealth and resources into America and that Wealth can be redistributed back to the working Class of America.

Sure the emerging economies in those third world countries will suffer massively and fall into chaos and massive poverty, but the upside is that the Working Class/Lower Middle class in America will become a powerful voting block focused 100% on keeping America as the Empire of the World because they will be in a better economic position in their daily lives and thus be very motivated to make Sure we remain in Power across the Globe in everything.

Maybe your not seeing the big picture of what Making America Great Again is about.
