Yes, no one does that for free. In this case, not only are we trying to be the negotiator, but we’ve had a financial interest and it would appear that Trump is wanting to regain something of that interest and make no mistake, he’s also sending a message. America isn’t giving away money anymore to protect the world. You guys need to step up your own defenses or pay a price. It’s just a very simple deal to Trump. You can argue that we should do all of this for free, but there is also a very good argument for the Europeans to start being more serious about their own defense.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
