certain premises, which include: there is no difference between D and R, ever.

Then an R comes along in Trump who is disruptive and openly antagonistic to the status quo, and goes after it's spending through DOGE, and for the sake of his paradigm he has to define this as not a significant change to the status quo, but in fact no big deal and very political.
