1. Be specific. What about government do you want to shrink? Mention specific programs you want to cut

2. There are publicly available financial statements that tells where the money is going. Freezing spending doesn't make that information either less or more available, but freezing spending does have the effect of destroying jobs and businesses that rely on fulfilling government contracts to survive and thrive. The government being a deadbeat doesn't help anything.

3. The consumption tax is unfair and redistribute wealth from the poor to the rich, as I've noted often before.
