it seems Apple does not "like" outside files (torrented movies in my case), so maybe that's the reason for all of the runaround. My phone has a dual Sim slot, so there's no memory card to chase around. 256GB card pops right in and there's no chance I'll ever come close to maxing it out. Plug the phone into my PC, drag file onto the memory card and done. I didn't read anything that said it was that easy with an iPad.
