Never do you question whether the system creates the drive for people to commit crime. Government creates black markets, resulting in systems of street justice. Government creates barriers of entry into markets to reduce competition. Government creates zoning laws on what you can and cannot do with property you own. Government itself will steal your property if you fail to pay them what they claim you owe them.
Anarchists believe many of societies problems are due to conditions created by government. And without government, many of those problems will be greatly lessened.
Free from the restraints of government, people can work towards solutions, such as cooperatively denying the sale of goods and services to thieves. Without public property, thieves can be exiled. A store owner cannot stop a known thief from being on the sidewalk in front of his store because it is public property. No one can keep a known thief from driving on the roads as it is public property. Yet in private ownership, access can be denied.
