The fact is none of the Big 12 teams were eliminated from the playoffs simply because they lost to lowly kansas. They were eliminated from at large because they all have 3+ losses. Playing and beating cupcakes means notbing and hurts your chances of making the playoff which is a big reasin MU is not in discussion at all like the other 3 loss SEC teams. Yes part of this was also the way we lost, but before the season even started people were already saying we were undeserving due to our schedule and we had 0 margin for error.
