I get what they're doing

But it's this weird thing where I realize most people can't see past the first-order results.
I guess it's not surprising since complex systems with first, second, and beyond order effects require attention, research, and thought are above most normal people's mental capacity.
It's just crazy how many of those people participate on boards like this where they presumably care about things like that. People in places like this are supposed to be the second layer of political influence. We care.
Instead, we ***** about each other and JG (I just mention JG because his daily situation is obvious and I also like him) gets mobbed off every day and the discourse is so intertwined in personal bull**** that even if he had an actual enlightening point that could help us all he'd be so engaged in personal battles the political/helpful could never come out.
That's basically politics. Egos and battles in lieu of importance.
