And Italians in the past and that all worked out.
There was a pretty decent period of organized crime that came with it, but after a few decades it was controlled and everything was okay.
Same situation now, and we’ll have to deal with the organized crime until we can assimilate. The discomfort comes from not knowing what happened in the past/ not wanting a repeat within our lifetimes.
Overall, it will probably wind up okay assuming the Dems aren’t going to try to go one-party state, which seems to be the goal now based on the lawfare and such.
Control the radical Dems/commies and this can turn out okay after a few years/decades of ****, but electing a Marxist like Kamala seems like doubling down.
Trump sucks, but at least he won’t continue this.
Especially since it’s so easy to fix if we just fixed the legal system of immigration and allowed rule followers in and stopped the uncontrolled flow.
If we really need more people via immigration (we do) there's better ways to do it. Plus, we didn't have a strong welfare state back then, so it was sink or swim for the new Americans. That's not the case now.
