I just got a ticket last month

I tried to go online and pay for it, nothing was there. Called the court, sat on hold for a while, and then was finally told 'it usually takes 4-5 weeks to process, then you can pay it'. I wonder how many people forget because our government is so poorly run. I found myself wondering if the delay was on purpose to generate more revenue. I got the ticket on 7/23 and was just able to pay it today, halfway to when my court appearance would be.
