the second string guy and the third guy had to play and the downers think we would have lost if we hadn't knocked #2 out.

They refuse to recognize how poorly #2 played up to that point AND the fact that he was not really #2 anymore. OSU had benched their regular season starter in favor of this kid for the bowl and the future. They legitimately thought he was going to be better than what they had played all season with.

Then they sign a mediocre kst kid who now the national media expects to become Joe Montana.
