I chugged the Gates Kool-Aid last year. At first I didn't like the hire - and then I changed mid-season last year to say it was a grand slam. And I did that based on one season.

This has really been a tale of two cities for me (sorry Charles Dickens, a tale of two seasons).

Not only the way this season has unfolded - but the way Gates has handled the situation with his comments before and after games - this ain't the guy I thought I saw last year.

My only hope - that this season is an aberration and a one off - but that still doesn't excuse the strange way Gates has handled it.
