Correct. There are posters on this board praising Underwood’s coaching and program and then bashing Gates. Underwood won 12 games his second year at Illinois and people wanted him gone. He had a good class coming in and has built on it ever since. It takes time to flip over a bad program. When Gates got here missouri was bad. Him pulling a miracle out of last years team has diluted short term expectations.

I’m as disappointed as anyone that Missouri isn’t that fun to watch, but eventually a roster turnover had to happen. You can only use so many transfers to build a team in 6 months of practice.
