be changed if it were truly the will of the people.

You and your crew pretend like our system cannot be changed when it was designed with processes to do just that. The real problem is that a majority of the people simply do not care. The swamp is only possible due to the apathy of the people. The problem is not the system, it is the people not caring enough to put any checks on that system.
