people can be exercised in the presidential election process, what do you guys think about this proposal in furtherance of that noble goal:

1. Nationalize the presidential election. No more electoral college. Plurality (or, when applicable, majority) vote wins.
2. Congress and the federal election regulators set the universal rules and standards for the election (including a requirement for photo ID, biometric identification, or other reliable verification method).
3. Voting is mandatory (to ensure the will of the people is actually exercised). Mandatory monetary penalties are assessed against those who do not vote.
4. Voting age is lowered to 16 (will of the people, includes young adults who are able to work and drive).
5. Felons no longer lose ability to vote (will of the people includes all people).
6. Resident aliens vote (will of the people includes all people).
7. Voting is all online (to facilitate the mandatory voting which helps to ensure the will of the people is actually exercised and to ensure same day election results).
8. Election day is a national holiday.
9. SCOTUS resolves any election disputes with original jurisdiction.
