a similar window to operate. Just like you said, the second half can get wonky. It happens pretty regularly. The odds of there being a pretty big difference between game flow first half and second half are pretty good. The odds of there being a different game flow between first quarter and second quarter are pretty small.
In a real competition, you would be better to have both candidates get a legitimate short opportunity as opposed to one of them get a legitimate long opportunity and the other one get shorted.
There is probably nobody on this board that has defended Drink as much as I have, and probably nobody that has criticized Cook less. But I am going to call out the facts. If there was supposed to be a legitimate quarterback competition, the plan to execute it last night was a faulty plan. If they know it’s Brady and they’re just trying to put on a show for the fans, then screw them for not being honest with their fans.
Even on the final scoring drive, they ran the ball eighth straight times. If the goal is to just wrap up the game and get the victory, that is what you do. But when the stated mission is that you are holding a quarterback competition, there’s an opportunity to throw at least a couple of passes in there to see what your quarterback does.
