Frequently didn't get the ball out on time and at times took too long to run plays, which took away from offensive rhythm and a crisply run offense. I didn't see intensity and leadership, but this was his first real game on the field.
I think he'll get better, but I'm wondering if baseball or football is his higher priority.
We saw glimpses of what a completely healthy Cook can do. He did a lot of the intangible things that will lead to team success.

It gives them a chance to evaluate players in a live game situation and iron out mistakes, not to mention giving 2nd and 3rd string players experience while resting starters for games that matter. Every SEC team does this. Look at this year's Bama and Georgia schedules.
