Frequently didn't get the ball out on time and at times took too long to run plays, which took away from offensive rhythm and a crisply run offense. I didn't see intensity and leadership, but this was his first real game on the field.

I think he'll get better, but I'm wondering if baseball or football is his higher priority.

We saw glimpses of what a completely healthy Cook can do. He did a lot of the intangible things that will lead to team success.

I'm glad Drink finally hired an OC, whether it was his choice or not. He's been testy with the media. He needs to get that corrected.

It was clear to me that South Dakota was doing a bit of headhunting on Burden. The lineman that launched himself on the sideline was a helmet to helmet and should have been called.

Every team in the SEC schedules a couple of paycheck games. It gives them a chance to evaluate players in a live game situation and iron out mistakes, not to mention giving 2nd and 3rd string players experience while resting starters for games that matter. Every SEC team does this. Look at this year's Bama and Georgia schedules.
