If the feds did not spend billions on education there would be no reason for the teachers union to turn around and give politicians billions in return. There is no constitutional justification for the dept of education, it should not exist.

The federal bureaucracies have created dozens of these feedback loops that do nothing but recycle money back to DC power brokers.
