Are you asking if his physical presence prevents us from bringing in another guy? The answer to that would be no, it’s just a waste of resources.

Are you asking if I know specifically that any money that went to him prevented us from landing one of the other transfers we tried to get? it would be impossible for a fan to know for sure, but considering how late in the game today’s decision is it is unlikely, but the theoretical possibility absolutely exists.


All that being said, it would be absolutely ludicrous for us to have held back any sort of NIL money and just give it to him. Reclaiming his scholarship makes a whole lot more sense.
