communicated to the aunt. And he didn't open the glass storm door. He opened the interior door and shot the kid through the glass storm door. You seem to be the one not applying common sense.

Nothing that has been said is some far-out outlandish scenario. The kid knocked on the wrong door. The homeowner was an old man who got frightened and shot him.

So what do you think happened here if everything I'm saying isn't common sense? The kid was trying to break in and rob the guy? When the guy opened the door, he just rushed in and frightened the guy?
