You guys are jumping all over a GoFundMe post that contains information that the person posting would have no way of knowing. And you folks are treating it like gospel.

Did the old man shoot him for no reason? Possibly.

Did the kid do something to justify the shooting? Possibly

Was it some combination of factors that led to the shooting? Possibly

We do not know at this point. What purpose does rank speculation serve other than enflame the mob?

If the old man was 100% at fault here nothing is harmed by allowing the process to play out. Justice will be served at some point.

If he was justified then it is pretty hard to untar and feather him later.
