Season in conference USA, the league put four teams in the tournament. In their first season in the A10, the league put two teams in the tournament.

Obviously time changes perspectives and both of those legs are much different now than they were at the time. But if they were looking for a league with more bids at the time, they sure didn’t get it and so I suppose you could say it was a mistake from that perspective. But at the time, maybe there was a perspective of looking for a league that was easier to win and they thought that’s what they were getting.
