Austin Peay, Abilene Christian, Stephen F Austin, and Hampton.
All these schools were traditional powers within their old Conferences but have now jumped to tougher Conference in terms of RPI yet they're still playing in leagues that are most likely 1 bid NCAA tournament leagues.
If making the NCAA tournament is the most important thing for those fan bases they would have been better off remaining in the "lesser" Conference instead of moving to an expanded Conference with the better RPI.
As far as football goes it's probably better for OU and Texas to wait 2 seasons because it will be easier for them to make a 12 team playoff if they get to avoid playing an SEC schedule.
