They both go to DC to solve problems, not to restrict the power of government in that space to let others solve problems.

I do not expect change to occur overnight. It does not mean it is not worthy of discussion on a board like this.

Look at the first issues brought up by the new squad.

Investigate = more government
Change how taxes are collected - no less government
The only cuts they want to make are to the IRS. While great, that is far from the biggest problem within government spending.
They do want to pass a balance budget amendment, which would be a great start at least.
