As I said I'm sure it's unpopular but it's not unreasonable and just 1 mans view. He’ll exhaust his eligibility even though he can come back under Covid ruling. I understand why you would want to bring him back but would you really be any worst off without him. Kobe’s function on this team is can be replicated in Carter, Diarra and to a lesser degree DegrayIII who all have normal eligibility left and as much or near as much developmental capacity as Kobe has already displayed. Sure you could keep Kobe but him going isn’t going to be a drastic factor. It’s not personal or means he's a bad player but it's similar to star players being traded in the NBA for players who may not be quite as good but can help towards the overall progress of the team. They knew Diarra needed work and had 3 more years available to them.
As for Mosley the disappointment for most fans is because they thought he would come in and be the volume scorer he was at Missouri State. He still might. However at this level he needs a more developed all around game. At the next leve,l where he wants to go, it’s highly more unlikely than not he would be that big time scorer so other aspects of his game should be developed. C DG recognized this from the outset if people were listening. When they brought up his scoring coach would pivot the conversation to his passing and defense. Those things along with his scoring can greatly improve his Professional potential. I/We don’t know what he’s going through but when he does play so far to this point it’s obvious. That’s a summation of my reasoning
