It was maybe the lowest of low points for the program.

Couldn’t even stay within 2 TDs of Iowa State or KU.

3 years later… 8 win team
4 years later… #1 in nation

The biggest difference between Devine and Pinkel was that Pinkel beat KU in 2007 when #1 was on the line and Devine lost at Faurot.
