And yes many things have changed in college football. But let’s do a head count.
Since Powers was let go and before the Rock Bridge guy, Mizzou has tried the alum with an NFL pedigree, the young offensive minded program builder, the retread who had coached in the big time, and the guy with G5 success. Only one had any sustained success, and he certainly would have been on a very hot seat if not fired with no Independence Bowl comeback in 05.
Drinkwitz may well prove to not be the guy but two years and two games is not nearly long enough to establish that. GP lost to Bowling Green in his third year and Troy in his fourth.
