Coach gets fired to everyone’s delight
Names get thrown around, wild speculation, flight trackers,…
New coach is announced, some happy some not
Said coach stands at the podium. Says he’ll prioritize in state recruits and promises a program all can be proud of.
Coach signs a few recruits, hires a staff, gets a pass for all the losses his first season.
Second season comes around, coach misses on most in state kids. Grumbling begins. Still it’s recognized he has to get more of “his guys”
Third season. Coach has a young team but more are “his guys”. TB expects improvement. Coach loses an early season game. TB not happy. Calls for firing begin. Declarations of withholding donations and staying home from games abound. Media picks up on it. Recruiting suffers.
Coach is fired to everyone’s delight.
The Mizzou way since the 70s with one exception, only because of an OT win in the homecoming game.
I’m tired of it. We have a coach, let’s give him some time and support.
