from a pure logic standpoint, there are only a few points to make
1. Belief that it is a person with its own rights from conception and ending that life is murder
2. Belief that it is completely the mother's right to do as she wants until birth.
3. There could be some logic around competing rights, and maybe viability could be the line, but picking the point of viability is not clear, and would be dictated through emotion.
the problem I have with part 1, is the punishment does not fit the crime.
I understand the approach you take, but whenever you draw a line somewhere , it is emotion.
