majority of the states.
It has been obvious for almost a century now that a new human being comes into existence at conception.
Mammals reproduce via specialized cells called gametes. The male sperm has 23 chromosomes and the females oocytes or "eggs" have 23 chromosomes. When the sperm enters the oocyte they merge an ontological change occurs. The chromosomes from the sperm and oocyte combing into pairs in what has become a new organism, a new being. That being with a human mother and a human father is, of course, a human being. That new human being will retain that same DNA for the rest of his or her life. No new ontological changes occur over the course of his or her life. All they need to continue growing and developing through each stage of his/her lifecycle is a safe environment and adequate nutrition.
That is why all of the medical texbooks and the top medical experts from around the world unanimously testified to the fact that a new human being comes into existence at conception. Or as the “Father of Modern Genetics”, Dr. Jerome Lejeune, told the lawmakers: “To accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place a new human has come into being is no longer a matter of taste or opinion … it is plain experimental evidence.”
