The Ukranian phone call alone was a serious ethics violation on Trump's part. It should have cost him the presidency but his supporters in Congress chose to throw away any semblance of integrity and ignore it. It's hard to believe his base views this as no big deal when we know damn well what would have happened had Biden or Obama made that call. Another call (also in the public record) to the secretary of state in Georgia was equally egregious and most likely illegal. That case is still pending.
