are different ways to interpret a document written 240 years ago.
Eight of the best legal minds and one wise latina are evenly split on the interpretation. The number referring to legal minds will decrease by one at noon today.
When the unicorn cult posts they act as if they have it all figured out and anyone on SCOTUS who disagrees is is a big government tyrant.
I said in an earlier post that i don't know the legal implications of the case and am not sure what the constitutionality of the decision will turn on.
(Paraphrasing my earlier post).
If the court properly interpreted the constitution then they did the right thing, whether i like it or not. It would then be up to congress to codify what they want the law to be.
But they are too lazy and cowardly to take that up. Let the courts do it, they don't have to stand for reelection.
