Most of what I have seen in MN for solar farms

are not really on very productive land.

As I was driving through Iowa last week, I saw a lot of them on the south sides of hog barns. I know a lot of farmers have started using them as a good hedge on some energy inflation costs, knowing they have a fixed costs for the term of the loan and then "free" energy thereafter.
