In football. I can tell you right here and right now that the average attendance next year will be up slightly 3-5k from this season and still be huge empty sections at the football game. If the first game or two is close or losses it will plummet.
I understand the excuses people use are different between the two programs but the problem is the same. Missouri just doesn’t have a good fan base. It’s very casual beyond the small base of fanatic people who attend games.
I’m not suggesting that Martin or Anderson deserved sell outs nightly, but I think anyone would be lying if they didn’t think even those bad teams wouldnt have probably won more games with fuller attendance and emotion in the building. There is a reason Mizzou is 6-1 in the rally for ryhan games and it’s not magic win dust sprinkled down by Jesus. The atmosphere is better and the 18-22 year olds like to play in that.
