If he had made the NCAA tourney the previous year, he might have had the leeway that some people are willing to give Cuonzo. He improved his program from being the worst P5 program his first 2 years to become maybe the 2nd or 3rd worst his last year.
And we aren't turning a corner and Cuonzo likely deserves to get fired. But to compare the two situations is foolish because Cuonzo has been a massively better coach than Kim was.
