finish your program has serious problems.
Stepping back should be a seventh-place finish, not where you are stepping back from.
For any coach years one and two should be freebies while they reset their roster and instill their philosophy. In year three you should be seeing some definite development of the program and what the identity is going to be. Year four does not have to be championships but there should be evidence of growth and the culture of the program should be set.
Year three was a complete disaster with no development and what appeared to be a weekly change in coaching philosophy. Year four looked like things were finally coming together for CM but after the holidays he completely lost his team. If this program has a culture it would seem to be chaos.
So in year five we are hitting the reset button and hoping to reboot the program. I have zero confidence that CM can successfully pull that off.
