care who we miss out on. A few months later those names are remembered only by the most passionate and obsessive followers of the program, there is always others who take their place. The important aspect is who actually commits and shows up. The problem for Cuonzo is for several classes in a row he missed out on all his recruits, and then it seemed like he basically stopped trying to even recruit at an SEC level. That seems to have somewhat reversed and hopefully he will land some of these guys he is now pursuing.
I know below you said you prefer to take a wait and see approach, as did I. We have a 4 year body of work, I wasn't sure during the early years exactly what we had in terms of a coach because of the undesirable situation he inherited and how many unfortunate injuries he was dealing with. But the overall product and coaching is bad, that is way more troubling than the lack of recruiting success. Its been 4 years, I think we can safely say even in a best case scenario he is a below average coach and one of the worst in the SEC. That isn't a good recipe for success, particularly when he refuses to bring in new assistants to try and improve the talent level.
