my attempts at optimism.

Either way, I do think we will know rather definitively the future of the program rather early on next season. There is probably about a 5-10% chance of Cuonzo succeeding here at this point. But a near or below .500 noncon record moves that to probably below 1%. I don't think there is any realistic path for him recovering from that kind of start and it would mean he is simply playing out his contract and trying to mitigate against any long term damage for the next coaching staff.
