rightly made yet where I catch grief from you and others. You rightly say, "I also understand that this system is not going to change anytime soon, nor fast, so it is mostly discussion at this point...."
For that reason I say it is foolish not to realize there are degrees of even bad choices, and to refuse to support the best of the options now if we are going to be living with them for quite some time is foolish. And to do nothing actually gives support to the worst of the ideas before us. It makes sense that one should be ready to fight for what you want, but also to make practical decisions today to at least slow the decay if and when possible. And to say both sides are equal in their proposed rate of decay is simply not a realistic or truthful statement.
