Thats not how it works, as a player you are not guaranteed anything the following year, not even a scholarship because you were on the end of the bench the previous season. That breeds resentment when you plays guys that don’t deserve it based on talent just because they’ve been there. Conversations are had at the end of the year as for as off season and following year expectations. Trust me when i tell you, tough conversations were had with all players that left, every coach has them. Some stick around, most move on with recommendations from the coach.
