NU was long gone a year earlier and Pinkel and his team "cheered and were ecstatic" when UT announced it wasn't leaving which was shortly after NU left or announced it was leaving. Pinkel would never have been concerned about UT leaving if we had already had an SEC offer in hand. The post makes it seem like it all happened around the same time which makes no sense. That's why a lot of people don't believe the "turned down Big 10" spin.
