I've been taking risks for the last twenty years. First going to law school, then studying my dick off to take and pass the Bar, then moving. Then starting my own practice.
All risk. Going to work for Widget Co. is not risky. And I'm not even going to tell you that I mapped things out. I work hard (but know plenty of people who are smarter and work much harder) and I tolerate risk. Frankly if I didn't loathe the idea of needing someone else to pay a salary to me I'd be a middle management schmuck for some company too. Truthfully I snort up the freedom more than anything.
