There are countless stories of people who have been shot, fallen off of ladders or in car accidents who were classified as covid deaths.

Others have spoken of very elderly family, friends or acquantances who had been battling severe health issues like cancer, heart attacks, strokes, OCD and so on who were already on their death beds who were classified as covid deaths. I saw one recent statistic that some 80%+ of the people who died from covid and DNRs.

Be that as it may there is something of a double effect when adjusting for covid deaths.

The infection fatality rate (IFR) = Infections/deaths

# infected = deaths/IFR

If the number of deaths are adjusted upward that also increases the estimated # infected.
