My wife's school has had kids disappear this school year.

Their parents picked the virtual option and the kids stopped attending. The school district can't do anything about it due to COVID. Or I should say, the state won't do anything about it. The parents aren't responding to contact attempts by the school.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
