He inherited a team that lost 5 of its last 6 games of the prior season, minus Bowers and Safford and adding nobody, and with both Dixon and English talking of transferring due to frustration and dissent.
He left behind JW3 who his eventual Gonzaga coach numerous times referenced as the ideal transfer and model player, that became a starter on a team that played in the national championship game. And also Wes Clark, who received similar accolades from his eventual coach at Buffalo before leading them on an NCAA tourney run as a senior. He also had an incoming class of 3 top 75 nationally ranked freshman and a JUCO transfer who would go on to finish 10th nationally in scoring at Tennessee.
Since from your perspective he did 'many sleazy things' while at MU, can you elaborate and give one such example. As a big MU basketball fan I've never heard anything tangible alleged so I'd be curious as to what you are referencing.
