they were justified in arresting him for allegedly passing a counterfeit $20 bill... or even if they might have been arresting him for something else... eg. driving under the influence.

The knee on his neck for such a long time obviously looked to be an egregious abuse of police power from my perspective, though I'm open to hearing their side of the story.

I'm guessing that the prosecutor must have additional information to have upped the charges to murder in the 2nd degree. Proving that he had the intention of killing George Floyd seems like something that would be very hard to prove with just the limited video footage that has been available to the public.
